Randy Peterson, local musician and instrument maker, is the second artist featured in our Artist in Residency Program! Randy will be in the atrium June 12th through August 9th, every Monday and Wednesday, from noon to 2 p.m. Each week, Randy will be offering instruction to guests interested in playing the steel pan.

“We are excited to present this new level of artist instruction to our guests, which will allow children and adults the chance to meet a professional artist, observe as the artist demonstrates his craft, and work directly with the artist to create a unique artform,” said Liza Blair, arts manager at Creative Discovery Museum.

All activities are included with Museum admission. Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn from and create alongside Randy Peterson!

The residency is part of an Equity in the Arts program funded through ArtsBuild and the Benwood Foundation. Peterson is one of three local artists to present multi-week residencies in the Museum. Each artist will be at the Museum for two-hours a day, two days per week until the residencies end in December 2017.
