Chat ‘N Play @ Downtown Library (2nd floor)

Do you want the chance to meet other parents and caregivers in the community?  If so, this for you!  At CHAT ‘N PLAY, our children’s room will be set up with engaging free-play activities for babies and preschoolers, ages 0-5.  They can practice their social skills and have fun with other children, while you get to chat with friends, both old or new.   Join us on the 2nd Floor of the Downtown Library every Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. and every Friday morning at 10:00 a.m.

Toddler Time @ South Chattanooga Library

Toddler Time is a weekly action-packed learning event for children ages 18 months to 36 months and their accompanying adult. Toddlers and their care-givers will learn new songs, rhymes and finger-plays, share books and make new friends. Registration is not required.

STEAM Study Break (Eastgate Library) @ Eastgate Library

Need a homework break? Drop in between 3:30 – 5:00 pm Mondays through Fridays for a fun activity exploring science, technology, engineering, art, and math! There will be one new activity plus one of Eastgate’s most popular maker activities such as LEGOs, Rainbow looms, and the button maker. All activities are appropriate for ages 5-12.

Kids Lego Club @ Northgate Library

Sew What @ Downtown Library

Baby Bounce (Downtown Library) @ Downtown Library

Please join us for Baby Bounce, an exciting new program in Chattanooga for parents and caregivers of tiny tots aged 1 day to 18 months. With your baby on your lap, together we’ll sing and play and begin the fascinating and lifelong journey of joyful learning. Join us at the downtown branch on Monday, Thursday and Saturday mornings at 10am. The class is free and no registration is required.  

Baby Bounce will be approximately 30 minutes and involve interactive songs, finger-plays, stories, shakers, colorful scarves and lots of giggles!  All of these things are crucial for a small child’s mental and social development and what better way to boost brain growth and early literacy than a fun filled storytime at the library!
