We are whipping up something new in Culinary Corner! Heart of the Home Cooking Series will focus on different cultural cooking traditions on the first Saturday of every month!

Chefs from diverse ethnic communities will spice up your Museum visit as they prepare a delicious dish specific to their culture while talking about their heritage! Join us June 3 at 2 p.m. to explore Filipino food and culture!

“The Heart of the Home Food Series provides Museum guests with a chance to learn about, taste and meet the people preserving and making a variety of food dishes reflective of the many cultural traditions and cooking practices found in Chattanooga,” said Liza Blair, arts manager at Creative Discovery Museum.

All activities are included with Museum admission.

Local visual artist Josiah Golson is kicking off our 2017 artist residency series! Josiah will work in the art studio every Saturday and Sunday in May from noon to 2 p.m. Each week will focus on different artists that inspire Josiah’s art.

“We are excited to present this new level of artist instruction to our guests which will allow children and adults the chance to meet a professional artist, observe as the artist demonstrates his craft and work directly with the artist to create a unique art form,” said Liza Blair, arts manager at Creative Discovery Museum.
