Theater Wanderer Performance

Join us for a special performance by TheaterWanderer, a nomadic ensemble theater group that tours the country on bicycles. They will be stopping by Creative Discovery Museum as part of their summer bike tour to perform “Taloola and Timothy Turtle of Deedledee Follies”, an interactive performance at 1p.m. The performance is included with Museum admission.

Folk and Traditional Arts Festival

Join Creative Discovery Museum as we take a cultural journey around the world ñ no passport required! Our annual Folk and Traditional Arts Festival allows children and their families to experience a diverse array of art and music presented by local and regional talent.

OPENING DAY – SId the Science Kid: The Super Duper Adventure!

Join us for the opening day of our new traveling exhibit, Sid the Science Kid: the Super Duper Exhibit! To celebrate the exhibit’s arrival, we’ll have special hands-on activities that promote science, exploration, and discovery. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet Sid the Science Kid himself with appearances scheduled throughout the afternoon.

Kitchen Lesson -Gingerbread Muffins

Guests will learn how to follow instructions by reading a recipe to completion as well as use new kitchen skills in our test kitchen. We will also discuss the origins of fresh vegetables and herbs and how they are used together to create an easy replicated recipe to make at home.

Story Time – Picnic

Guests will listen to a story and use text and picture clues to predict and to find “lost” objects in the illustrations. Children will then get the opportunity to “pack” their own picnic basket to take home.
